Our Story

Curaçao is our birthplace, and as children of the island we’ve always felt a strong connection and love for our island. Whether our love for sunshine and the beach stems from our very first dip in the water when we were just two weeks old, we don’t know. It’s definitely possible.

“We” are Erik and Robin, brothers, joined forces to found Drift. With separate long careers in restauration and transformation of many buildings in Otrobanda or converting churches in the Netherlands, we develop and operate made-to-measure hotels that enriches neighborhoods while meeting the needs of today’s travelers. Soulful hospitality meets real-estate expertise.

We both share the passion for National Heritage and go beyond the traditional hospitality business. Combing the design and lifestyle sensibilities of boutique hotels with the freedom and flexibility of serviced apartments. And so, developing distinctive brands and properties that offer vibrant experiences, firmly rooted in their locality and historic ambiance. For an honest price, with the right balance between diligence, reliability and social responsibility.
