Our guests come to DRIFT to discover Curaçao, relax, and most importantly, feel at home. And you play an important role in making that happen!
Your Role
As a Housekeeping Staff Member, you will work together with the team to maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of the hotel.
From guest rooms to public areas, and from laundry and linen to housekeeping and storage areas: you make sure everything is clean, organized, well-presented, and ready for our guests.
Your work is an important part of the guest experience. After all, a clean and well-maintained hotel helps guests feel welcome and comfortable.
What Will You Do?
- Clean and prepare hotel rooms for new and returning guests.
- Change and make beds and clean bathrooms.
- Replenish towels, toiletries, and other guest amenities.
- Keep all public areas clean and well-maintained, including hallways, stairs, the lobby, and other shared spaces.
- Make sure the hotel looks clean, fresh, tidy, and welcoming throughout the day.
- Handle, sort, and store linen and towels.
- Assist with daily laundry and housekeeping duties.
- Replenish and keep housekeeping supplies, linen, and cleaning materials organized.
- Keep housekeeping and storage areas clean and organized.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or other concerns in a timely manner.
- Handle lost and found items carefully and according to the appropriate procedure.
- Assist with periodic deep cleaning or additional cleaning tasks when needed.
- Work together with colleagues to ensure the entire hotel meets DRIFT’s quality standards.
- When needed, greet guests in a friendly manner and assist with simple questions or requests.
- And of course: notice what needs to be done and take initiative.

- Understands that cleanliness and organization are an important part of the guest experience.
- Is reliable and keeps their commitments.
- Can work independently and organize their tasks effectively.
- Can work at a good pace without compromising quality.
- Treats guest rooms, hotel property, linen, supplies, and guests’ belongings with care.
- Is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and stay physically active throughout the workday.
- Is happy to help with public areas, laundry, linen, supplies, and other housekeeping tasks when needed.
- Works well as part of a team and is willing to help colleagues when necessary.
- Treats our guests’ privacy and personal belongings with respect and discretion.
- Has a friendly and well-presented appearance when interacting with guests.
- Is flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays when needed.
- Has previous housekeeping or cleaning experience? That’s a plus, but motivation, a good work ethic, and a willingness to do a great job are more important to us.
- Speaks English, Papiamentu and/or Spanish? That’s a plus.
